Another glam carnival is on the cards as ‘Naan Avan Illai II’, starring Jeevan and five gorgeous gals, is fast nearing completion. A sequel to the superhit ‘Naan Avan Illai’ (2007), which established Jeevan as a bankable star in Kollywood, the Selva film starts from where the first part ended.

In the sequel, the serial womanizer of the first part shifts his "area of operation" to exotic foreign lands. His heroines, or rather victims, would be played by Sangeetha, Lakshmi Rai, Shweta Menon, Hema Malini and Rachna Maurya.

Lakshmi Rai plays an actress who falls to the hero’s sweet talk, while on a shoot abroad.

Jeevan, aka Vickey Rangaraj, debuted in films way back in 2002 with ‘University’. Though he bagged the Filmfare Best Villain Award for ‘Kakka Kakka’ the next year, he took a break of nearly three years from films to return strongly with Susi Ganesan’s ‘Thiruttu Payale’.

'Naan Avanillai I’ was a remake of K. Balachander's classic with the same title starring Gemini Ganesan. That film was a remake of Marathi play 'To Mi Navhech' (Means, it's not me!) written by Prahlad K. Atre.

Priya Mani, who bagged a National Award for her 'Paruthiveeran' effort, has switched back to the 'glam doll' mode. After doing an item number in Nagarjuna's 'King', Priya will reprise Nayantara's bikini-act in in the Telugu remake of 'Billa'.

Priya, who has of late been having a helluva time in Kollywood, Tollywood and Mollywood, has a bigger ambition to fulfill: A throne in Bollywood.

Soon after the release of 'Paruthiveeran', Priyamani did an out-and-out glam role in 'Malaikkottai'.

Her hobbies are music and dance. Dan Brown and Jeffery Archer are her favourite authors.

She has an important role in Mani Ratnam's bilingual, 'Ashokavanam', in which she is paired opposite her statemate, Prithviraj.

In Telugu, she is being paired opposite Nandhamuri Balakrishna in two films.

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is Priyamani's second cousin.

Priya Mani considers Sridevi's role in 'Sadma' as "the ideal role".

Priyamani's favourite actors are: Kamal Hassan, Mammootty, Mohanlal and Dileep. Her favourite actresses are Sridevi and Kajol.

Her acting talents were in evidence even in her school days. She was a model for many textile ads.

Her first film in Telugu was 'Pellaina Kothalo', a Jagapati Babu-starrer. The film was a hit and gave Priyamani the break she was looking for.

Priya's second film was directed by Bala Mahendra; it was titled 'Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam'. Dhanush was Priya's hero in the film. It bombed!

She debuted with the Bharathiraja film, 'Kangalal Kaithu Sei'. The film, in which she was paired opposite Vaseegaran, was a dud.

Priyamani was born on June 4, 1984, at Palakkad, Kerala, to Vasudeva Mani Iyer and Latha Mani.
