Ileana D'Cruz is one of the most attractive actresses down South. Born and brought up in Mumbai, the lissome beauty's rise to the top was meteoric.

Ileana had a cracker of a debut in Tollywood, with 'Devadasudu' (2006), directed by Y.V.S. Chowdhary, opposite newcomer Ram. And her second film, 'Pokiri', turned out to be the biggest blockbuster Telugu Cinema has seen till date.

Ileana has been approached by renowned producer M.S. Raju to do the lead role in his upcoming films, 'Veera' (opposite Allu Arjun) and 'Aata' (opposite Siddharth Narayan). Ileana has also been signed up for Trivikram Srinivas' untitled Pawan Kayan film.

She has bagged a Bollywood film to be directed by Sangeeth Sivan, with Bobby Deol and Nana Patekar in lead roles. The film is remake of the Telugu blockbuster, 'Athadu'.

From the beginning, Ileana has been planning to make it big in Bollywood. She would "like to work with Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan".

She acted with Pawan Kalyan in 'Jalsa', one of the top grossers in Telugu this year. She has signed a film opposite Manchu Vishnu Vardhan, tentatively titled, 'Saleem'.

Her debut in Tamil was opposite Ravi Krishna in 'Kedi', which did not do well at the B.O. Ileana has reportedly signed 'Vettaikkaran', opposite Vijay, for a huge amount.

Ileana landed her debut film after director Y.V.S. Chowdhary spotted her in a Fair and Lovely ad film directed by Rakesh Roshan. The film was a success at the box-office.

Her parents named her after Ileana (Helen of Troy) from Greek mythology. Doing justice to the legend of Helen are the Tollywood bigwigs, who fight each other to get Ileana on their title cards!

Ileana was born in Mumbai on August 19, 1987, to a Roman Catholic father (Ronaldo Leo) and a Muslim mother (Sameera). She has three sisters and two brothers.

Recently, Illeana was in the news for rejecting a role in Soundarya Rajnikanth's 'Sultan, the Warrior'.

Lara Dutta is one of the unsung beauties of Bollywood. Fiercely independent, this Mumbai beauty refuses to take walk-on parts; she has refused even Hollywood films for the same reason. The former Miss Universe and Miss Intercontinental was a super model before she debuted in films with 'Andaaz'. Her sensitive performance fetched her the Filmfare award for the Best Female Debut.

Lara has good comic timing as was seen in 'Partner' and 'No Entry'. She held her own against veterans in the game such as Govinda, Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor.

Lara was supposed to debut in films with 'Arasatchi' in Tamil, in 2002, but the movie got released only in mid-2004. Finally, she made her debut in 2003 with the Hindi film, 'Andaaz', which was a box office success. Her box office 'hits' include 'Masti', 'Kaal', 'No Entry', 'Partner' and 'Bhagam Bhag'. Lara Dutta says she has no friends in Bollywood. "Everyone is here to do his or her work," she feels. She has not done anything aggressively glam in the recent past except 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom'. Because, she thinks ordinary women identify themselves with simple characters, the girl-next door-types. Lara Dutta and Dino Morea were invited to a Los Angeles Lakers practice where they got to meet their favourite NBA player, Kobe Bryant. Rumour mills have been linking her with many an actor. She says, "I do enjoy the company of men. And I’m not going to get inhibited at the thought of being linked with one of them the next morning." She looks forward to her role in Sudhir Mishra’s version of 'Devdas', in which she plays Paro. Lara is also doing 'Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai' with Govinda and 'Blue' with Akshay Kumar.

Lara Dutta was offered roles in 'The Matrix Reloaded' (2003) and 'The Matrix Revolutions' (2003), but she turned them down as she was not satisfied with the script.

Priya Mani, who bagged a National Award for her 'Paruthiveeran' effort, has switched back to the 'glam doll' mode. After doing an item number in Nagarjuna's 'King', Priya will reprise Nayantara's bikini-act in in the Telugu remake of 'Billa'.

Priya, who has of late been having a helluva time in Kollywood, Tollywood and Mollywood, has a bigger ambition to fulfill: A throne in Bollywood.

Priya Mani considers Sridevi's role in 'Sadma' as "the ideal role".

Priyamani's favourite actors are: Kamal Hassan, Mammootty, Mohanlal and Dileep. Her favourite actresses are Sridevi and Kajol.

Her acting talents were in evidence even in her school days. She was a model for many textile ads.

Her first film in Telugu was 'Pellaina Kothalo', a Jagapati Babu-starrer. The film was a hit and gave Priyamani the break she was looking for.

Priya's second film was directed by Bala Mahendra; it was titled 'Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam'. Dhanush was Priya's hero in the film. It bombed!

She debuted with the Bharathiraja film, 'Kangalal Kaithu Sei'. The film, in which she was paired opposite Vaseegaran, was a dud.
