On the surface, it would appear as though Adam Lambert has little in common with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

But the American Idol runner-up can relate to the hottest rumored couple in Hollywood in one significant way: for months, Lambert - quietly and with class - dealt with rumors of his homosexuality.

He barely commented on the topic, choosing instead to let his performances speak for themselves. Eventually, he admitted his sexual orientation to Rolling Stone in June.

Sound familiar? Everyone assumes Rob and Kristen are dating, everyone is fine with that, yet no one knows for certain.

As the media bears down, Robert Pattinson wants to come clean with reporters. But Kristen Stewart is distracted by her man's sex appeal.

According to In Touch Weekly, though, the couple is prepared to follow Lambert's lead and go public with its romance in December. That tabloid claims Robsten will give a tell-all interview to Harper's Bazaar.

Says a source, regarding Pattinson and Stewart's conversation with the publication: “Rob and Kristen were relatively open about their relationship."

Only time will tell if this interview actually takes place. Until then, we're sure desperate celebrity gossip rags will publish misleading reports about the state of Robsten and its future as a couple.

In its latest issue, this celebrity gossip rag boldly states that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are engaged. But, like any credit card or mortgage application, one must read the fine print.

The sub-headline states that Rob proposed to Kristen on set, which is true... in the movie they're filming! As any Twilight Saga fan knows, Edward and Bella agree to marry in Eclipse.

Inside the issue, sources don't say a word about any engagement between Pattinson and Stewart, though insiders do confirm the couple crashes together in Rob’s suite at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre and is very cute in between takes.

“If Kristen is looking for Rob, she’ll say, ‘Has anyone seen my husband?’’’ said a source. “And Rob loves to say, ‘Have you met my lovely wife, Kristen?’ It’s cute. They’re like a couple of love-struck teenagers.”

But these rumored new roommates are trying to keep the PDA to a minimum, insiders confirm, saving "real kisses for after the sun goes down... when you see them disappear into their hotel."

How come?

As previously bantered about, Summit Entertainment wants New Moon viewers to actually believe in the romance between Bella (Stewart) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) in the upcoming film.

Studio bosses supposedly “fear that if a romance between Rob and Kristen is confirmed, Twilight fans won’t buy into the screen chemistry between Taylor and Kris.”

After the November 20 opening of New Moon, though, look out! This publication's headline might become valid after all.

Whether or not they're dating (and, yes, they most definitely are!), Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have something in common: a refreshing view of fame.

Last month, Stewart referred to acting as a "weird and dreamy fantasy land," as she seemed far more confused about her celebrity status than spoiled by it.

In the latest issue of French magazine Premiere, meanwhile, Pattinson is equally taken aback.

He says he first realized he was a member of Hollywood's A-list at this year's Cannes Film Festival in May. Check out gorgeous photos of the actor from that event now and then read about his revelation there:

"I was in a restaurant during a break, and when I came out two hours later, 500 people were waiting for me at the exit. It was total chaos. I'm sure that if I told one of those girls 'come, let's go have breakfast,' she would have been totally embarrassed and would never scream my name again."

That's only because she'd be perpetually speechless, Rob.

There's just one response to seeing Robert Pattinson cover a French magazine: Voulez vous couchez avec moi c'est soir?

Overall, don't expect to ever hear our favorite pretend vampire complain about fame.

"If tomorrow I say 'OK, I've had enough we're stopping everything' it won't change anything. Might as well try to accept it and stay Zen as I have no control over it. It's not always easy. But whining won't change anything."

With three more Twilight Saga films on the way, it's likely to get even harder for Pattinson. But with a grounded, handsome head on his shoulders, we think he'll be okay.
